Illinois State University faculty, staff and students are invited to attend an open house regarding the Main Street Feasibility Study on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Illinois State University Alumni Center.
The Main Street Feasibility Study is designed to engage the public and key stakeholders to evaluate and reach consensus on future roadway improvements along the Main Street (Business 51) corridor.
These improvements are ultimately designed to make Main Street a more accessible, multimodal and pedestrian friendly environment that can support new businesses and housing types for residents and students, and serve as a template for sustainable "green" construction practices throughout McLean County.
