Associate Professor of English Christopher Breu has been granted a Fulbright Visiting Research Chair Award to conduct research at McMaster University in Canada. Breu will be in Hamilton conducting research for the project, The Insistence of the Material: Literature in the Age of Biopolitics.
Illinois State has once again been included in the Military Friendly Schools list published by G.I. Jobs magazine. The 2012 list recognizes colleges, universities and trade schools that are supporting the educational pursuits of veterans.
America Ferrera, star of the ABC television comedy Ugly Betty, will discuss her personal experiences with education, diversity and changing lives at the Latino Cultural Dinner on Monday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Brown Ballroom.
