Almost 40 antique vendors from all over the Midwest will gather for the Top of the Class Antiques Show from Friday, Jan. 27, to Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Illinois State University Bone Student Center. Show hours are from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5, and is valid all three days.
Sponsored by the School of Communication, the show will feature items including pottery, jewelry and glassware. Proceeds from the show, now in it sixth year, will provide the school with additional funding for future endeavors. Last year, the show brought around $6,000 to the school.
“This will be by far the best selection we’ve ever put together,” said event coordinator Doug Jennings, who noted many of the vendors save some of their best pieces for this show. The show has attracted vendors from seven states including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri and Iowa as well as both upstate and downstate Illinois.
