Illinois Supreme Court Chief Justice Thomas Kilbride will speak on The Impact of Money on Illinois Judicial Elections on Tuesday, April 26, at 6 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Old Main Room. He will be available to answer audience questions following the presentation. The event is free and open to the public.
Kilbride was elected to the Supreme Court of Illinois for the third district in 2000 and was elected as chief justice in October 2010. He practiced law for 20 years in Rock Island prior to joining the Supreme Court. During that time, he was admitted to practice in the United States District Court of Central Illinois and the United States Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
