Thursday, April 28, has been designated as Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work day. Human Resources supports strengthening family/work relationships, and recognizes that programs such as this are best administered departmentally.
This program was initiated as a way to provide an opportunity for daughters and sons to explore their future opportunities, see the real workplace and begin to develop a wider view of possibilities associated with a balanced work and family life.
Daughters and sons who participate should be at an age where they can understand what a workday would be like for their parent by their participation in a hands-on and interactive environment. The recommended age range is between 8 and 18. Faculty and staff are encouraged to support this program for daughters and sons if it can be accommodated within the unit's operational needs.
For more information on this national program, visit www.daughtersandsonstowork.org/. For questions about the program, call Benefit Services, Human Resources at 438-8311.
The April 26 Report will be the last issue for the semester.
