Illinois State University’s Jazz Ensembles I and II will perform in concert on Friday, April 22, at 8 p.m. in the University’s Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall. Tickets are $8 for general admission, $7 for faculty and staff and $6 for students and seniors.
The concert will feature guest vibraphone soloist Kevin Hart performing two of his original works, Two Winter Days and Blues from the Heartland. The ensembles will also perform pieces by Joe Henderson, Don Menza, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Bob Mintzer and Eric Richards, along with Bob Brookmeyer’s Nasty Dance, featuring tenor saxophonist Matthew Muneses.
The April 26 Report will be the last issue for the semester.
