Saturday, Oct. 31, is the last day to submit proposals for the 2010 Teaching & Learning Symposium, “Sustainable Teaching, Sustainable Learning, Sustainable Living.” Proposals can be submitted online at www.teachtech.ilstu.edu.
All members of the Illinois State community are invited to submit proposals for individual or panel presentations that address the symposium theme or are otherwise related to teaching and learning on campus.
The annual Teaching & Learning Symposium, hosted by the Center for Teaching, Learning & Technology, is the largest single teaching-related event held at Illinois State each year. The 2009 Symposium attracted more than 290 registered participants.
The 2010 Symposium will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Uptown Normal. The day’s events will include a welcome by President Al Bowman, a keynote address by nationally recognized sustainability expert Debra Rowe, faculty-led break-out sessions, a poster session, and—new this year—a showcase of student work related to sustainability.
Faculty interested in showcasing student work should contact Cyndy Ruszkowski at 438-5848 or clruszk@ilstu.edu.
