Board of Trustees Renews Student Health Insurance Plan

The Illinois State University Board of Trustees today renewed the University’s student health insurance plan contract with Aetna Student Health. The renewed contract covers the 2013-2014 plan year.

The Board of Trustees also approved the student health insurance rate of $218 for the fall 2013 and spring 2014 sessions and $165 for the summer 2014 session. The figures represent a 6.9 percent increase over the 2012-2013 rates. A portion of that fee increase will be held in reserve to help manage the cost of Affordable Care Act-mandated prescription drug coverage in the 2014-2015 policy year.
