The Illinois State University Board of Trustees and Presidential Search Advisory Committee have narrowed the list of candidates for the University’s 18th president, and interviews will be held next week in suburban Chicago.
“We have identified a group of outstanding candidates from an international pool of highly qualified applicants,” said Michael McCuskey, who chairs the Board and search team. “Over a two-day period, the Board, along with members of the Search Advisory Committee, will conduct in-depth interviews with each of the candidates.”
The interviews will take place in executive session to protect the confidentiality of the search process. McCuskey says finalists will be brought to campus before the end of the spring semester.
“With the assistance of Greenwood/Asher & Associates, our search process has moved smoothly and efficiently,” McCuskey said. “It remains our goal to have Illinois State’s next president in place before the beginning of the fall semester.”
