Hill to Speak on European Way Sept. 14

Date:9/6/2011

Contact:Eric Jome

Steven Hill, author of Europe’s Promise, will present Why the European Way Is the Best Hope in an Insecure Future on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at noon in the Bone Student Center First Floor West Lounge. The event is free and open to the public.

Hill is a political writer and the founding director of the Political Reform Program at the New America Foundation. That program, which ceased operations in May 2010, sought to develop opportunities for reform, educate opinion leaders and the public about electoral alternatives, and encourage the formation of a broad-based coalition.

Hill’s presentation is part of Illinois State University’s International Studies Seminar Series exploring topics in global politics and culture. The seminar series is organized by the Unit for International Linkages, Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Women's and Gender Studies Program.
