Illinois State University School of Music Professor Michelle Vought will perform her one-woman show "Madame Monsieur," at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, in Kemp Recital Hall in the Centennial East building. It is free to the public.
"Madame Monsieur" is a fast-paced cabaret show which Vought has toured in the United States for the last four years and has been met with rave reviews.
Vought begins as Madame Diva singing soprano standards from various musical styles only to return as Monsieur Divo dressed in male attire to sing favorites from the guy's repertoire. Some of the tunes include "Someone to Watch Over Me," "O Sole Mio," "Over the Rainbow," as well as Puccini's great arias "O mio babbino caro" and "Nessun dorma."
