Women's Glee, Civic Chorale in Concert March 27

Illinois State University's Women's Glee Club and Civic Chorale will perform in concert on Sunday, March 27, at 7 p.m. in the University's Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall.  Tickets are $8 for general admission, $7 for faculty and staff and $6 for students and seniors.

The groups, under the direction of Joyce Beer and John Koch, will perform a number of works including excerpts from Five Hebrew Love Songs and Sleep by Eric Whitacre, Skye-borne music by Robert Hanson, and the Canon from Leonard Bernstein's Kaddish Symphony. A performance of the Holocaust Cantata by Donald McCullough will feature vocal soloists Katie Steel, Annilee Rohrscheib and Mike Detmer, along with cellist Eunkyung Son and clarinetist Andrea Steele.
