Five recent Illinois State University graduates have earned Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). The human resources management graduates completed the PHR certification exam this past June, achieving a 100 percent pass rate. The occasion marks two consecutive exam periods in which Illinois State students surpassed the national PHR exam pass rate of 55 percent.
May 2010 graduates who earned PHR certification are: Nicole Rollins, Oneida; Steve Willis, Naperville; Amanda Cohen, Deerfield; Alyssa Ehrsam, Channahon; Laura Sues, Frankfort; and Frannie Heine, Peoria.
The PHR certification exam is administered twice a year and covers strategic management, workforce planning and employment, human resource development, employee and labor relations, and risk management. More than 108,000 certified human resources professionals in more than 70 countries and territories have earned professional certification through HRCI.
