First Pinnacle Scholar Named

Illinois State University freshman actuarial science major Erin Dullard of Normal has been named Pinnacle Scholar. The scholarship is new to the Actuarial program in the Department of Mathematics at Illinois State. It is funded by Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, a leading actuarial consulting firm with headquarters in Bloomington, and its employees.

Dullard is also the recipient of a scholarship from the Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services at Illinois State, awarded to successful alumni of the Redbird Risk Management Challenge, an innovative summer program for high school students organized by the Katie School of Insurance, which she attended in 2008. Dullard is a graduate of Normal Community High School.

The new Pinnacle scholarship is a part of the Actuarial Scholars program already in existence at Illinois State, funded by State Farm Foundation, Country Financial, Zurich Insurance, and now also Pinnacle Actuarial Resources. A stop-gap funding is also provided by Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services at Illinois State.
