The Illinois State University Student Foundation is hosting the 4th Annual "Play for Olamide" Bean Bag Tournament Saturday, Oct. 3 at 1p.m. outside of the Alamo II book store. All funds raised during the event support the Olamide E. Adeyooye Memorial Scholarship.
Participants can register at the Alamo II during their normal business hours or at noon at the event.Registration can also be mailed to "Play for Olamide," Campus Box 8000, Normal, IL 61790-8000. The cost is $20 per team if registered by Oct. 2 and $30 per team if registered on the day of the event.
Participation is open to the University community and public. Participants have a chance to win over $600 in prizes including donations from State Farm, Alamo II, Fusion Brew and D.P. Dough. Questions or special accommodations requests should be directed to Steve Clayton at sgclayt@ilstu.edu.
The Olamide E. Adeyooye Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of an Illinois State senior who was abducted and killed in October 2005. The scholarship was awarded for the first time in 2007, during the University's Sesquicentennial celebration
