An exhibition of the talented choral groups in Illinois State University's School of Music will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, in the Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall. Admission is $6 for the general public, $5 for ISU faculty-staff and $4 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available at the Center for the Performing Arts box office.
According to Karyl Carlson, director of Choral Activities in the School of Music, groups on the program include theWomen's Glee, Men's Glee, Belle Voix, Madrigals and the Concert Choir. The Concert Choir will perform a work titled "A Light Exists in Spring" by Karen Ball, the energetic, Brazilian-flavored "O Sapo" by Stephen Hatfield, sung in Portugese, "Blessed is the Man" and a movement of Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Vespers," sung in Russian.
