Nao the robot will visit Illinois State University today, Monday, Oct. 19 at 4:30 p.m. in the Center for Visual Arts (CVA) room 151.
Nao is a humanoid robot made by Aldebaran Robotics. Nao's "brain" is a computer that can be programmed so that Nao can act on his own to carry out various tasks. Nao senses the environment and alters his behavior accordingly. Project Nao, which began in 2005, aims to make available to the public, at an affordable price, a humanoid robot with mechanical, electronic, and cognitive features.
The event is sponsored by The Mind Project, The Department of Technology and The Department of Philosophy.
