Rethink Afghanistan Film, Panel Discussion Oct. 7

The documentary film Rethink Afghanistan will be shown on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m. in Schroeder Hall Room 130.  The event is free and open to the public.

The film examines the U.S. military escalation in that country, how escalation will affect Pakistan and the surrounding region, the cost of war, civilian casualties, and the rights of Afghan women.  A panel discussion featuring Illinois State University Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans will take place following the film screening.

The event is sponsored by Illinois State's Global Review program in conjunction with the grassroots action and lobbying organization Brave New Foundation.
