Jihad, Terrorism, Islamic Law Subject of Seminar Oct. 21

"Jihad and Terrorism in Islamic Law: Evaluating Osama Bin Laden's Fatwa Against the United States" will be the subject of a presentation by Mohammad Hassan Khalil on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center 3rd Floor East Lounge.  The event is free and open to the public.

Khalil is an assistant professor of religious studies and a visiting professor of law at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  His teaching and research focuses on Islamic theology, thought and law.  His presentation is part of Illinois State University's International Studies Seminar Series exploring topics in global politics and culture. The seminar series is organized by the Unit for International Linkages, Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Women's and Gender Studies Program.
