Cuban Cinema Subject of Seminar Oct. 7

"The Heresy of Cuban Cinema" will be the topic of a presentation by Paul A. Rodriguez on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center 3rd Floor East Lounge.  The event is free and open to the public.

Rodriguez is chair of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Northeastern Illinois University.  His teaching and research focuses on Latin American cinema, Caribbean literature and culture and Latin American cultural studies.

His presentation is part of Illinois State University's International Studies Seminar Series exploring topics in global politics and culture. The seminar series is organized by the Unit for International Linkages, Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Women's and Gender Studies Program.
