School of Music faculty at Illinois State University is well-represented in the many off-campus musical organizations throughout the state, and a new group - the Heartland Festival Orchestra - has four ISU musicians in its inaugural season.

Percussionist David Collier, violinist Sarah Gentry, trumpeter Amy Gilreath and trombonist Steve Parsons are members of the Peoria-based chamber orchestra and will be heard in the upcoming production of Igor Stravinsky's "L'Histoire du Soldat" ("The Soldier's Tale") on Nov. 13 and 15 at the Gateway Building on Peoria's riverfront.  Tickets are $27 for the general public and $7 for students and children.

Former Peoria Symphony Orchestra musical director David Commanday is founding artistic director and conductor of the Heartland Festival Orchestra.
