Artstream Nomadic Gallery, a 30-foot-long, 1967 Airstream trailer converted into a gallery space which shows a premier collection of contemporary utilitarian ceramics by some of the country's most well-known clay artists, will be at Illinois State University March 24 and 25.
Hosted by the ceramics area of Illinois State University's School of Art, the Artstream Nomadic Gallery will be parked in front of the Center for the Performing Arts, just south of Beaufort Street, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Three of the artists, Lisa Orr, Tara Wilson and Steven Colby, will be demonstrating their process and giving artist lectures on both days in the ceramics studio in Centennial West.
The traveling gallery is based in Carbondale, Colo., and has traveled the length of the U.S. putting contemporary ceramic art on display for the public.
