A new initiative at Illinois State University is helping student art work to be displayed in buildings across campus.
The Student Government Association developed the "STATE your Art" initiative as a way for the University to showcase the many talents of its students and to spread Illinois State pride through the campus displays of student artwork. A selected number of works will be displayed at locations around campus. Each year new selections will be made and replace the current pieces to be starting on Founders Day.
More than 100 original works of art were submitted for this competition. From these submissions a group of 10 finalists and 20 works were selected by the STATE your Art jury. The pieces listed below were selected by the jury and will be displayed in the Center for Performing Arts, Milner Library and Hewett/ Manchester Hall. Student artists and their works include:
