"Why Pakistan Won't Fight America's War in Afghanistan" will be the topic of a presentation by Graham Usher on Wednesday, April 7, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Third Floor East Lounge. The event is free and open to the public.
Usher, a writer and journalist based in Islamabad, is the author of Dispatches From Palestine: The Rise and Fall of the Oslo Peace Process. He is also a contributing editor for Middle East Report, Pakistan correspondent for al-Ahram Weekly, and a regular contributor on Pakistan to several US and European publications.
His presentation is part of Illinois State University's International Studies Seminar Series exploring topics in global politics and culture. The seminar series is organized by the Unit for International Linkages, Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Women's and Gender Studies Program.
