Date: 6/7/10

Contact: Eric Jome

The Illinois State University Planetarium will present The Little Star that Could, June 9 through July 23.  Show times are Wednesdays at 2 p.m. and Fridays at 7:30 p.m.  There will be no presentation on Friday, July 2.

The family-oriented show follows an average star as it journeys through the Milky Way in search of planets. During its travels the star discovers that by being very average, it is actually special.

Admission to the Planetarium's public programs is $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12 and seniors, and $2 for children ages 3-4.  Tickets may be purchased in the Planetarium Gift Shop, next to the Planetarium, beginning 20 minutes before each show.

The Planetarium is located under the white domed roof at the eastern end of Felmley Hall of Science near the intersection of School St. and College Ave. in Normal.

For more information, please call the Planetarium's Skyline at (309) 438-5007 or visit www.phy.ilstu.edu/planet.html
