Illinois State University's Board of Trustees today approved the academic plan, an extension of a hardware and software agreement, a new Watterson emergency generator, an amendment of a ticketing system agreement and the Foundation contract.

The Board approved the Illinois State University Academic Plan, 2009-2014, which includes the University mission statement, Board of Trustees vision statement for 2014, college mission statements and objectives, curriculum initiatives, Educating Illinois 2008-2014 Priorities for Illinois' First Public University and summaries for the 2008-09 program reviews.

The Trustees approved a third one-year extension of a contract with the Burwood Group for Cisco hardware and software products.  The cost will not exceed $1.7 million.

The Board approved the replacement of the Watterson Towers emergency generator, which is original to the building constructed in 1967, at a cost not to exceed $750,000.  The new generator will be larger to support additional building and life-safety equipment.

The Trustees authorized the amendment of a contract with Paciolan, Inc. for the event ticketing system for athletic events at a cost not to exceed $800,000.  The Athletics department determined a need for the expansion of modules and hardware to improve web-based ticket access and security and to improve game-day ticket management.

The Board of Trustees authorized a contract with the Illinois State University Foundation for development and fund-raising services for fiscal years 2010-2012 for annual cash and in-kind consideration not to exceed $2.2 million for the initial year.
