Germany After the Wall Subject of Seminar

"Twenty Years After The Fall: 1989 and the Changing Contours of German and European History" will be the topic of a presentation by Peter Fritzsche on Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Third Floor East Lounge.  The event is free and open to the public.

Fritzche is a professor of history and a faculty member in the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  His research and teaching focus on German, European and cultural history.  He is the author of several books including Life and Death in the Third Reich and Friedrich Nietzsche and the Death of God.

His presentation is part of Illinois State University's International Studies Seminar Series exploring topics in global politics and culture. The seminar series is organized by the Unit for International Linkages, Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Women's and Gender Studies Program.
