Turkish Politics Subject of Feb. 10 Seminar

"Moderation of Religiopolitical Actors in Turkey: From the National Outlook Movement to the Justice and Development Party" will be the topic of a presentation by Yusuf Sarfati on Wednesday, Feb.10, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Third Floor East Lounge.  The event is free and open to the public.

Sarfati is an assistant professor in Illinois State University's Department of Politics and Government. His teaching and research focuses on comparative politics, politics of the Middle East, religious parties and theories of democracy.

His presentation is part of Illinois State University's International Studies Seminar Series exploring topics in global politics and culture. The seminar series is organized by the Unit for International Linkages, Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Women's and Gender Studies Program.
