Sixteen Illinois State University students have been awarded actuarial science scholarships for the Spring 2010 semester.
Students named Country Scholars in Actuarial Science are Hannah Esker, sophomore, Effingham; Katherine Jean, freshman, Rantoul and Danielle Schumacher, sophomore, Lemont. This scholarship is supplemented by the Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services. Schumacher is also a Katie Scholar in Actuarial Science.
The Pinnacle Scholar in Actuarial Science at Illinois State is Jason Rohlfs, junior, Emden. This scholarship is supplemented by the Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services and Rohlfs is also a Katie Scholar in Actuarial Science.
Students named State Farm Scholars in Actuarial Science are Alexander Beruscha, sophomore, Algonquin; Emily Byrnes, senior, Mount Horeb, Wis.; Andrew Kampwerth, sophomore, Aviston; Benjamin Leifheit, sophomore, Bloomington; Tyler Lueck, freshman, Macomb; Aaron Malone, sophomore, Mt. Zion; Matthew Olson, junior, Shorewood; Laura Pfeiffer, sophomore, Shelbyville; Christine Pflueger, senior, Red Bud; Katrina Williams, senior, Prophetstown and Brandon Wolfe, senior, Orangeville.
The Zurich Scholar in Actuarial Science at Illinois State is Anthony Pragovich, senior, Homer Glen. This scholarship is supplemented by the Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services. Pragovich is also a Katie Scholar in Actuarial Science.
The State Farm Scholar in Actuarial Science awards, funded by the State Farm Foundation, and the Country Financial Scholar in Actuarial Science awards, are for students with a grade point average of 3.5 overall and 3.7 in the major and who place in the top 20 percent overall and top 5 percent in mathematics in national standardized tests.
