Illinois State University's graduation rate has hit 70 percent according to newly-released data from U.S. News and World Report.
Figures released Thursday show Illinois State retained its third tier ranking for the eighth straight year, while improving in the sub-categories of Six Year Graduation Rate, Academic Reputation and Acceptance Rate. Rankings are based on academic quality and excellence. Factors include assessment by administrators at peer institutions, student retention, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, alumni giving and graduation rate performance.
"For Illinois State to achieve a 70 percent graduation rate is a testament to the quality and hard work of our faculty and support staff members," said President Al Bowman. "It also reflects the growing academic quality of our students and their engagement in the learning process."
