Violinist Gentry to Present Free Recital Aug. 19

Sarah Gentry of the Illinois State University School of Music will present a faculty violin recital at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, in Kemp Recital Hall.  Admission is free.

Gentry will perform Jean-Marie Leclair's Sonata in D Major, accompanied by guest artist Paul Borg of the School of Music.  It will be followed by Manuel de Falla's Suite Populaire Espagnole, accompanied by guest guitarist Angelo Favis of the School of Music.         

Borg will accompany Gentry in a performance of Beethoven's Sonata in A Minor ("Kreutzer") and Henryk Wieniawski's Scherzo-tarantelle.
