"Prospects for the US involvement in Afghanistan" will be the topic of a presentation by Abdulkader H. Sinno on Wednesday, April 14, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Third Floor East Lounge. The event is free and open to the public.
Sinno is an assistant professor of political science and Middle Eastern studies at Indiana University-Bloomington and a 2009 Carnegie Scholar. His first book, Organizations at War in Afghanistan and Beyond (2008), develops an organizational theory to explain the evolution and outcomes of civil wars, ethnic strife and other territorial conflicts.
His presentation is part of Illinois State University's International Studies Seminar Series exploring topics in global politics and culture. The seminar series is organized by the Unit for International Linkages, Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Women's and Gender Studies Program.
