A special reception in honor of Gamma Phi Circus' 81st year will be held on Friday, April 23, at 2 p.m. in the Special Collections area (sixth floor) of Illinois State University's Milner Library. Refreshments will be served and a short presentation will begin at 2:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Gamma Phi Circus will hold its annual spring performances in Redbird Arena that evening at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, April 24, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets for the shows are $12 for adults, $10 for students, $8 for children 5 - 12, and $1 for children under 5 years of age. Tickets can be purchased at the Braden Box Office or at Ticketmaster.com
Milner Library's Special Collections area is home to the Circus and Allied Arts Collection, one of the largest and best special collections of its type in existence, with an emphasis on circuses and related arts such as carnivals, carousels, conjuring, music halls, and vaudeville.
