Lutenist North to Perform April 25

World-class British lutenist Nigel North will give a recital on Sunday, April 25, at 4:30 p.m. in Kemp Recital Hall at Illinois State University.  North will perform a program of lute music by 18th century composer Sylvius Leopold Weiss.  Admission to the performance is $5.

In addition to a stellar solo recording and performance career, North has enjoyed musical collaborations with the world's most outstanding early music scholars including Trevor Pinnock, Christopher Hogwood, Alfred Deller, the London Baroque and most recently with the Attaignant Consort.  North is currently a professor of lute at the Early Music Institute at Indiana University.
