Spring Commencement Set for May 7-8

Illinois State University's 151st Spring Commencement will take place on Friday, May 7, and Saturday, May 8, with each college holding its own ceremony. President Al Bowman will attend and speak at each ceremony. A student representative from each college will also speak.

On Friday, the Mennonite College of Nursing ceremony will be at 4 p.m. in Braden Auditorium, and the College of Arts and Sciences ceremony will be at 7 p.m. in Redbird Arena.

On Saturday, the College of Education ceremony will be at 9 a.m. in Redbird Arena, College of Applied Science and Technology at 12:30 p.m. in Redbird Arena, College of Business at 4 p.m. in Redbird Arena and College of Fine Arts at 7 p.m. in Braden Auditorium.

Degree candidates by colleges are as follows:

  • Applied Science and Technology, 799 baccalaureate and 129 graduate degrees
  • Arts and Sciences, 1,130 baccalaureate and 222 graduate degrees
  • Business, 688 baccalaureate and 41 graduate degrees and 39 BS/MPA degrees
  • Education, 501 baccalaureate and 154 graduate degrees
  • Fine Arts, 164 baccalaureate and 38 graduate degrees
  • Mennonite, 108 baccalaureate and 12 graduate degrees

Approximately 3,402 students will participate in Spring Commencement ceremonies. Those eligible to participate include degree candidates for spring and summer semesters as well as those who graduated after the Winter Commencement ceremony.
