Anti-Bullying Workshop, Oct. 18

"Strategic Options for Coping with Bullying and Social Aggression" will be the topic of a workshop for K-12 teachers and administrators on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 1-4:30 p.m. at the Chateau Hotel and Conference Center in Bloomington.  The workshop is co-sponsored by Illinois State University's School of Communication and the Illinois Speech and Theatre Association.

The workshop will focus on the impacts of face-to-face and cyber bullying and give an overview of available commercial and non-commercial anti-bullying programs for use in schools.  Workshop leaders will be William Cupach, School of Communication, Illinois State, and Erin Willer, Department of Communication Studies, University of Nebraska, Lincoln.  The workshop is being held in conjunction with the Illinois Speech and Theatre Association's annual conference.
