Date: 10/16/08

Contact: Eric Jome

Alexander Hamilton, a key architect of the modern American political and economic system, will take questions from the Bloomington-Normal press corps on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. on the Main Floor of Illinois State University's Milner Library.

"A Discussion with Alexander Hamilton" will feature historical interpreter Tim Connors playing the role of Hamilton in a mock press conference with reporters from WGLT, WJBC, The Pantagraph, The Daily Vidette and TV 10.  The event is free and open to the public.

Hamilton will face questions about the economy, presidential power, religion, the role of the military and some personal questions about his famous duel with Aaron Burr.  The mock press conference with the famous Founding Father is being held in conjunction with the traveling exhibit "Alexander Hamilton: The Man Who Made Modern America," on display at Milner Library through Dec. 5.
