Illinois State University's Board of Trustees today set President Al Bowman's salary at $360,000, effective July 1, 2008.
The Board reviews presidential compensation each year in conjunction with its evaluation of the president's performance.
"Clearly, Illinois State University has achieved unprecedented success under the leadership of President Al Bowman," said Board Chair Mike McCuskey. "The campus community has resoundingly indicated that sentiment through its evaluation process and the feeling is echoed in every alumnus and individual I meet who knows of Dr. Bowman's great work."
