Local business representatives will discuss the economic development needs of McLean County during a public forum co-sponsored by Illinois State University's Extended University, June 8, 9, 11 & 12. The Forum for Business Growth and Workforce Development panel discussions, held from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Old Main Room, are free and open to the public.
McLean County business representatives will provide their recommendations on ways to promote local business growth and economic development. The recommendations made during the forum sessions will be compiled into a final report that will be published in August of this year. Nearly 80 business representatives will take part in the panel discussions, which will be moderated by Richard Ringer, an Illinois State associate professor of management and quantitative methods.

The Forum for Business Growth and Workforce Development is co-sponsored by the Economic Development Council of the Bloomington-Normal Area, Heartland Community College, Illinois Wesleyan University, McLean County Chamber of Commerce, Career Link, Lincoln College - Normal, the Regional Office of Education for DeWitt, Livingstone and McLean Counties and the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Illinois State University.
