Accounting Department Student Awards

Illinois State University's Department of Accounting recently honored 32 students for outstanding academic achievement.  The various honors and scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individual donors and include monetary awards.

Award recipients include Adam Donahoe, Metamora, winner of the W. Max Rexroad Scholarship and the Alumni Golf Outing Award; Andrew McNamee, Bloomington, winner of the State Farm Insurance Companies Award; Ashley Bell, Beach Park, winner of the Williams Townes Memorial Scholarship; Ashley Brewer Bloomington, winner of the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award; Bridget Willenborg, Greenup, winner of the Outstanding MPA  Student Award; Brittany Minkler, Montgomery, winner of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Award and the Alumni Golf Outing Award; Bryan James, Mahomet, winner of the Outstanding MSA Student Award and the Outstanding FSA 5th Year Student Award; and Caleb Kelson, Fairbury, winner of the Hienold-Banwart Award.

Connie Stoller, Eureka, was the recipient of the Sulaski and Webb Award and the Alumni Golf Outing Award; Dustin Huber, Bloomington, was the winner of the COUNTRY Financial Services Award and the Alumni Golf Outing Award; Galen Huette, Tremont, was the recipient of the Alumni Golf Outing Award and the David Currie Award; Garret Spiek, Manteno, was the recipient of the Herbert C. Sieg Scholarship; Hussein Badruden, Dunlap, was the recipient of the Anderson Alumni Award and the Raymond W. Esworthy Scholarship; Jarrad Koon, Canton, was the recipient of the Kate King Wu and Horace C. Wu Scholarship; Jessica Frenchette, Piper City, was the recipient of the Clifton Gunderson LLP Award and the Alumni Golf Outing Award; Jessica McCormick, Lockport, was the recipient of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Award; Joseph Novonty, Plainfield, was the recipient of the Accounting Alumni Association James A. Hallam  Scholarship and the RSM McGlardrey Award; and Julie Kaeb, Tremont, was the recipient of the  Dunbar Breitweiser & Co., LLP Award.

Katie Miller, Morton, received the Glen Webb Education Fund and the Growmark Foundation Award; Kevin Crotteau, Shorewood, received the Sikich LLP/Accounting Award and the Alumni Golf Outing Award; Kristen Mense, Saint Libory, received the BIS Alumni Award; Mackenzie Lee, Galva, received the PricewaterhouseCoopers Award and the Alumni Golf Outing Award; Madilyn Ahsue, Peoria, received the Kate King Wu & Horace C. Wu Scholarship Award; Marissa Witzig, Gridley, received the James H. Schlesser Scholarship and the Alumni Golf Outing Award; and Michael Welton, Crete, received the KPMG Award and the Alumni Golf Outing Award.

Michelle Miller, Bloomington, received the Deere & Company Award; Robyn Rittis, Salem, received the Nims Associates Bill Spaniol Memorial Scholarship; Patrick Schwappach, Springfield, received the BKD, LLP Award; Robert Baker, Bloomington, received the W. Max Rexroad Scholarship; Rocco Dibenedetto, Naperville,  received the RSM McGladery Award and the Alumni Golf Outing Award; Valerie Melrose, Tinley Park, received the Deere & Company Award and the Alumni Golf Outing Award; and Jordan Blackburn, Peoria, received the Sikich LLP/BIS Award.
