The Institute for Geospatial Analysis & Mapping (GEOMAP) at Illinois State University is offering a two-day training course on the use of advanced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software on Oct. 9-10.
"Introduction to ArcGIS I" is the premier training course for ArcGIS 9.2 software. The intensive two-day training session is intended for those new to GIS or those wishing to explore further their knowledge of GIS software.
ArcGIS is full-featured GIS software for visualization, creation, management, and analysis of geographic data and is made by ESRI, a leading producer of GIS technology. The training session will be conducted by GEOMAP research associate Gretchen Knapp, one of two ESRI-authorized instructors in the State of Illinois.
The class is priced at $500 corporate, $400 not-for-profit/government, and $350 academic (faculty, staff, and students). Elsewhere this course is priced at $980.
