McCuskey Elected ISU Board of Trustees Chair

Illinois State University's Board of Trustees today elected Michael P. McCuskey as chair of the Board and Joanne Maitland as secretary.  Geno Bagnuolo took his seat as the new student trustee, and Bob Dobski was seated as a new trustee.

McCuskey, chief United States district judge for the Central District of Illinois, was appointed to the Board in 2005.  He received his bachelor's degree in political science education from Illinois State and his J.D. from Saint Louis University of Law.  McCuskey received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Illinois State in 2003, and serves on the Attorneys Advisory Council at the University.

Maitland was appointed to the Board in 2002.  She retired as the assistant finance manager for the City of Bloomington Township.  Maitland is a past member of the McLean County Extension Foundation Board, previously served as president of the United Way of McLean County, as president of the McLean County Board of Health, secretary of the BroMenn Health Care Inc. Board of Directors and as a board member of Mennonite College of Nursing.  Maitland is the chair of the John Maitland-Joe Warner Long Term Care Nursing Scholarship Committee.

Bagnuolo is from Bolingbrook and is a senior majoring in business management.  He is providing leadership for the Preview ISU program this summer.

Dobski and his spouse, Julie, own eight Bloomington-Normal McDonald's Restaurant franchises and the Little Jewels Learning Center. A 1969 DePaul University graduate, Dobski is also president of the Peoria-Bloomington McDonald's Co-op, a member of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce Executive Board and vice chair of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Board in Springfield.
