Guest Guitarist to Present Recital Monday in Kemp

Classical guitarist and educator Anton Machleder will present a recital Monday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Kemp Recital Hall at Illinois State University.  Admission is $5. 

Machleder, who currently directs the guitar and music technology programs at Houghton College's Greatbatch School of Music in western New York, will conduct a master class from 1 to 3 p.m. in Kemp.

The Ecuadorian-born guitarist has performed throughout the U.S. in solo recitals and chamber music concerts.  He completed the DMA in guitar and music literature at the Eastman School of Music. He made his New York debut in 1992 at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall as winner of the Artists International Competition.
