ROTC Spring 2009 Commissioning Ceremony May 8

Illinois State University's Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) will hold its Spring 2009 commissioning ceremony at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 8, in the University's Performing Arts Center Theatre. Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson will be the guest speaker.

Illinois State cadets being commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army are Timothy W. Anderson, Schaumburg; Thomas B. Baker, Normal; Derek M. Brown, Hudson; Jimmy Chism, Hoopeston; Matthew W. Fumagalli, Willowbrook; Brittany Hocking, Sherman; Mario F. Nino,Chicago; Shawn E. Robertson,Bloomington; David A. Sanford, Saybrook; Randy D. Spanton, Bloomington;and Samuel C. Stevens, Champaign.

Illinois Wesleyan students Jacob Denap, Highland; VictoriaSalas, Indianapolis, Indiana; and Tamara Johnson, Lebanon, Missouri, have also completed Army ROTC training at Illinois State and will be commissioned as second lieutenants in a ceremony in Illinois Wesleyan's Hansen Student Center on Friday, May 1 at 3p.m.
