Cronin to Delivery Bryant Jackson Lecture April 30

"A Modernist's Dilemma: Saul Bellow and his Junk Philosophers Re-Calling God" will be the topic of a presentation by Gloria Cronin on Thursday, April 30, at 2 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Old Main Room.  Cronin is the 2009 Bryant Jackson Lectureship series speaker.  The event is free and open to the public.

Cronin is a professor of English at Brigham Young University.  Her fields of interest include African-American, Jewish-American, and contemporary American literature, postcolonial and post-imperial Anglophone literatures, and postcolonial, postmodern, and gender theories.

The Bryant Jackson Lectureship was established at Illinois State University in 2003 to honor Associate University Librarian Bryant Jackson. The lectureship is an annual event with speakers of the highest reputation in library research.
