A reception to honor the 80 year history of Gamma Phi Circus will be held at Milner Library, Friday, April 24, beginning at 2 p.m. in the sixth floor special collections area. The event is free and open to the public.
The reception will showcase the eight decade history of Illinois State University's Gamma Phi Circus, the nation's oldest collegiate circus. Renowned aerialist Tony Steele will be a featured guest, along with current Gamma Phi performers and Circus alumni. Circus memorabilia will also be on display, including film footage from 1939 Gamma Phi Circus performances.
