The French aristocracy is satirized in "Ring Round the Moon," a fast-paced, entertaining comedy about love, which opens the School of Theatre season at Illinois State University.

Directed by Sandra Zielinski, "Ring Around the Moon" will run in Westhoff Theatre Sept. 29 and 30 and Oct. 3 to 7 at 7:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1 Tickets are $12 for the general public, $10 for ISU faculty and staff, $9 for senior citizens and $8 for students. Tickets can be purchased in the Center for the Performing Arts box office from noon to 5 p.m. weekdays, by calling (309) 438-2535 or online through Ticketmaster.

"Ring Round the Moon" was written by Jean Anouilh and translated by Christopher Fry. Frederic and Hugo are twin brothers who couldn't be more different, except that they are both in love with the wealthy Diana. Hugo forms a diabolical scheme to separate his brother from Diana and win her for himself. The clashing of new and old society in the World War time period leads to an intriguing and exciting plot.
