The Illinois State University Women's Mentoring Network will host a
conference for nontraditional women students on Saturday, Sept. 30. The
conference is designed to help women who are currently enrolled at Illinois
State, or who are planning to begin college or transfer from an area
institution, network with other students and faculty and staff.
The 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. conference, which will take place in the College of Business Building, Atrium in lower level, will offer sessions for professionals who work with nontraditional students and sessions for students addressing issues such as getting the most out of being mentored, health and wellness issues, and financial planning. Registration is $5 for students and $15 for non-students and includes continental breakfast, lunch, and all conference materials. In addition, child care will be provided.
The keynote speaker will be Gigi Fansler, Vice President, Lincoln College-Normal. Recipients of the Dorothy E. Lee Scholarship will be announced during the conference.
