Artist Jef Scharf will present the next lecture in the School of
Art's Visiting Artist Program at noon Tuesday, Oct. 31, in the University
Galleries at Illinois State University.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Scharf, who is on campus through Nov. 19 working with students and School of Art faculty, specializes in drawing and printmaking. He studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, at the Cleveland Institute of Art and at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Scharf lives and works in New York and has exhibited extensively in the United State, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic. Of special note is the inclusion of his work in the print collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Artists scheduled in the future to visit the School of Art are Andreas Fischer and John Giglio.
