New Frontiers That Change Everything" will be the topic of a presentation by agricultural economist and futurist Lowell Catlett on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Brown Ballroom. Catlett's presentation, part of the Illinois State University - Illinois Agricultural Association (IAA) Agricultural Policy Series, is free and open to the public.

Catlett is a Regent's Professor in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Business at New Mexico State University. His presentation will examine the impact of existing and emerging technologies on the way people live and work today. He will also discuss the convergence of technology, economics and demographics in the next decade and how that convergence will change society and provide greater opportunities, for those willing to adapt to the changes.

In addition to being a thought-provoking and highly sought after speaker, Catlett is also a consultant to the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Interior, Defense and Labor, and numerous Fortune 500 companies.

The Agricultural Policy Series lecture is coordinated by Illinois State's Department of Agriculture and is made possible by generous support to the Illinois State University Foundation from the Illinois Farm Bureau, McLean County Farm Bureau and the IAA Foundation.
